There are two main types of Galvanic Isolator to protect your boats hull from Corrosion.

Plug In and Wire in. So which one works best? They both do EXACTLY the same job, and give the same level of protection.

Galovanic Isolators for boatsThe Plug in type is incredibly easy to install. You just plug it into the end of your mains hook up cable. Also, if you’re not 100% certain that you understand your boat’s earthing arrangements, choose this type. There’s NOTHING to “get wrong”.

The Wire in type is simple to install, but you DO need to work on your boat’s electrical system. It fits inside your boat, so it can’t get damaged or stolen. And it’s the cheapest option.

Our recommendation??? Plug In. That’s what we have on our boat (a 60ft NB). But the choice is yours. If you have any questions, please give us a call. 0757 807 3490.
