Basic gives protection against Galvanic Currents, but NOT against Earth Leakage. For the small difference in price, it's well worth considering Extra Protection.
Extra Protection gives protection against Galvanic Currents AND Earth Leakage. This is important, because Earth Leakage is much more damaging than Galvanic Currents
Maximum Protection gives protection against Galvanic Currents AND Earth Leakage, This is important, because Earth Leakage is much more damaging than Galvanic Currents. You also get protection against Electrical Power Surges, which can cause severe damage to a boat's electrical systems, including LED lighting, computers etc. This is a very worthwhile addition
