Plug in or Wire in... THAT is the Question

OK... I need a Galvanic isolator, but which to buy??? Plug in or Wire in???

wire in galvanic isolator UKGalvanic isolators come in two flavours... Plug in and Wire in. They both do exactly the same job - stopping Galvanic Corrosion, and both are highly effective. But which one is right for you?

A Wire in type is easy enough to install, but you will need to be comfortable with simple electrical wiring, and to closely follow the instructions. Installing a Plug In Galvanic Isolator usually takes about half an hour - once you have gained access to the appropriate places, (typically 2 hours to empty the cupboard, and 1/2 hour to wire in the isolator).

A Plug in Galvanic Isolator is even easier, and needs absolutely NO wiring or electrical knowledge, as it simply plugs onto either end of your electrical power cable. It doesn't matter which end you connect it, it works 100% at either end.

Boats without Galvanic isolation are vulnerable to Galvanic Corrosion, which can cost £££ to resolve, so it's crucially important that you DO fit a Galvanic isolator, as it can save you a fortune on anodes alone, not to mention damage caused by corrosion.
