Power surges are becoming more and more common.

That’s partially because the load on the electrical grid, varies greatly. When there is little load, the grid voltage can suddenly rise. Also, when certain items of equipment switch off and on, they generate high Voltage “Spikes” that are conducted through the grid.

You might think that in the event of a surge a circuit breaker would trip to protect the system, but the events are of such short duration that a trip can’t operate quickly enough.

The components in your Surge Suppressor act instantly, and safely bypass the surge to earth. In most cases, you will be completely unaware that the surge ever happened.

The truth is that nothing will, and a direct hit by lightning will probably destroy anything it touches. However, very few surges are caused by lightning, and over 80% of power surges come from WITHIN your own electrical system.  The Suppressor CAN offer a excellent protection against these, and surges caused by nearby electrical equipment.  Typically electrics with a Surge Suppressor fare far better than those without.

How to connect it...
Fitting is easy. Simply plug the Suppressor on to the end of your hookup cable, then plug in as normal. Your electrics will work normally. The Surge Suppressor uses no power, and can be left permanently connected.
